If this feels familiar, you’re not alone:
You’re functioning.
Keeping things moving.
Handling responsibilities.
But underneath:
your mind rarely settles
decisions feel heavier than they should
your confidence feels less certain than it once did
something feels off
you feel disconnected from yourself
From the outside, life may look fine.
Inside, it feels different.
People often seek support during periods of pressure, transition, or uncertainty - following burnout, separation or divorce, loss, changes in work or career, shifts in purpose or direction, or simply because something no longer feels aligned.
What is a Personal Reset?
A Personal Reset is a focused one-to-one session designed to help you step out of pressure, noise, and overthinking.
It provides space to slow down, speak honestly, understand what is really happening, and reconnect with what matters most.
Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, important decisions, life transitions, or simply a sense that something no longer feels right, the aim is the same: to help you gain perspective, make sense of what is happening, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Calm, practical, and deeply human.
Depending on your goals and circumstances, sessions may also incorporate wellbeing planning, lifestyle factors, health behaviours, fitness, recovery, stress management, assessment tools, and other practical approaches that support overall wellbeing and and help you make changes that feel realistic and sustainable.
The right conversation, in the right space, at the right time.
How it Works
1. Settle
We slow everything down.
No pressure.
No performance.
No need to get it right.
2. Open
You speak honestly about what has been building, what no longer feels right, or what you can no longer ignore.
3. Clarify
Together, we explore what may sit beneath the stress, confusion, or recurring patterns.
4. Reset
You leave with greater clarity, perspective, and a sense of what comes next.
Support is tailored to the individual and may incorporate psychology-informed approaches, wellbeing planning, behaviour change, health and lifestyle guidance, assessment tools, and other practical strategies where appropriate.
About Ian Baker
Founder of Personal Reset
MSc Occupational Psychology (Distinction) | MBPsS
Wellbeing & Personal Development Coach
I provide one-to-one wellbeing and personal development support informed by psychology, health, wellbeing, human performance, and practical life experience.
Clients often describe me as approachable, easy to talk to, and able to help them gain clarity and perspective. I also understand pressure personally — rebuilding after setbacks, navigating demanding seasons of life, and recognising when something no longer fits.
I take a holistic and personalised approach to wellbeing and personal development. Work, relationships, health, lifestyle, confidence, stress, recovery, purpose, and performance are often more connected than they first appear. Depending on the individual and their circumstances, support may draw upon psychology, behaviour change, wellbeing planning, health and lifestyle factors, fitness and recovery, psychometric and health assessments, therapeutic massage, or other practical approaches that support wellbeing and help people make changes that feel realistic and sustainable.
I hold an MSc in Occupational Psychology with Distinction and have worked across psychological wellbeing, neurodivergent support, personal training, behaviour change, resilience, and performance-focused environments, including work psychology roles within government settings. This breadth of experience helps me recognise the close relationship between mental wellbeing, physical health, lifestyle, recovery, confidence, and everyday life.
Before this, I served as a Royal Navy Physical Training Instructor, where I learned how resilience and performance grow best when people feel supported, understood, and steady under pressure.
Qualifications matter, but so does something less tangible: calm presence, practical insight, and the ability to help people find clarity when life feels noisy, heavy, or uncertain.
That matters.
